A few things. Number one, did everyone have a good summer, England? I’ll always remember those three days when I wore shorts. Say goodbye to the world again, calves and ankles, we’re back in gloom town.
Also HEY you guys I am doing an Edinburgh preview on June 15th that I’m really looking forward to at the Hen and Chickens Theatre! Would love to see all of your bright shiny faces (wash your faces before coming please). It’s a Friday night, for the love of Henry, lets all just live a little. You can book tickets online by going to the link below:
If you can’t make that preview why not catch one with the AMAZING Checkley and Bush at the Leicester Square Theatre on June 20th.
Also just for anyone who is wondering what the meaning of life is, here’s a short tutorial to clear that issue up:

Hi friends. Some of you may know that I have a profound affection for Hollywood actor Don Cheadle. Check out the videos page to see the first video I made for him – the Don Cheadle song. Glory of glories, Don Cheadle responded to that video in 2009 with a photograph:
The passage of time has only made my love grow stronger, and now I have written a screenplay starring myself and Don Cheadle. This is a public appeal to Don Cheadle to respond to this spicy video excerpt from the film, tentatively called “Secret Dreams”, in whatever way he sees fit. Please watch this vid:

Thanks to Brighton audiences, and the judges, for voting for the Latest Awards – so excited to have been named Best International Act at the Brighton Fringe. So. Excited. If I had been at the awards ceremony I would have made an awkwardly long speech, but sadly I was back in big old smokey London with only a sunburn to remind me of the blissful weekend in B-town.
Festival season continues with the Apple Cart Festival this Sunday in Victoria park, and Edinburgh prep is heating up too with a preview this Friday June 1st with the INCREDIBLE GERRY HOWELL who is one of my top three favourite comics IN LIFE. Check that out at the Magdala Pub near Belsize Park. (Listed on the “gigs” page).

Looking forward to my third night at the Brighton Fringe! It’s a beautiful day, like being in the French Riviera but with more sunburns and chicken shops.
Thanks to Broadway Baby and Fringe Guru for two great reviews for Thursday’s shows! If I ever encounter these people again I will buy them so many drinks.
Also I’ve been shortlisted for the Latest Awards for Best Female Performer and Best International Performer at the Brighton Fringe! If you’ve seen the show and liked it please do vote at the link below!

Halifax you salty sea dog! I’m having the best time here. Yesterday I ate five oysters, a loaf of bread, and two glasses of tomato juice for lunch and felt on top of the world. In the evening I played the Casino with an amazing line up of people I admire – and tonight I’ll be at the Rebecca Cohn Theatre. Catch it all on CBC next spring (if the world doesn’t end by then).
Here are a few pics of me looking super excited.

Toronto stock up your hotdog vendors, Tim Hortonses, and all-you-can-eat Sushi restaurants. I’m coming for you.
APRIL 21ST at 8pm and APRIL 22ND at 7:30 pm you can find me with my pal Sabrina Jalees at the Flying Beaver Pubaret on Parliament Street. We are rarely in the same city at the same time, so this is a cause for celebration. Also Sabrina’s birthday! Come on down. Get tickets in advance – urgently!
In other big news, I’m getting really excited about Edinburgh 2012 because the guys at http://www.comcomedy.com just posted this fantastic video of footage of last year’s Edinburgh! Check out at the end when a rabbit disrupts an outdoor gig and I absolutely lose my mind, as though I’ve just seen a Unicorn.

WELCOME TO THE NEW MAEMARTIN.CA !!!
It’s got everything that was on the old site but it looks 100 times better – finally I can see what I would look like crushing the city of Toronto by squatting on it. Thanks to Courtyard Creative for designing it!
I am so excited about my new website that for a minute I forgot to be caught in a feverish whirlpool of emotions in response to the impending re-release of TITANIC 3D. I’m literally beside myself with excitement about being able to touch Kate and Leo as they emerge from the screen towards me.
Check out the upcoming shows section of the website to come and hang out with me at a show somewhere – I’m mainly in London but will be back in Canada briefly for the HALIFAX COMEDY FESTIVAL at the end of April, as well as two shows at the Flying Beaver Pubaret.
Check out http://www.halifaxcomedyfest.ca/ for details!

I did it. I got Twitter. It has ruined and enhanced my life. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and checked it. Will this phase pass? Will it lose its luster? Right now it feels thrilling. I tweeted @LeonardoDiCaprio asking him to be a sperm donor for my children, but he hasn’t written back yet. Only a matter of time, I assume, unless I’ve been misled and Twitter is not actually about convincing celebrities to father your unborn children.
In other news, in light of the recent controversy surrounding Jann Arden and her dog on the via rail train in Oshawa, Canada, I thought that this clip was relevant. It was filmed long before the dog incident ever occurred (google the dog incident if you don’t know what I’m referring to), but seems timely. When I tweeted it at Jann Arden she didn’t find it funny and has blocked me on Twitter. I think I was being “Insensitive” (get it?) but I thought she’d get a kick out of it! Forgive me Jann Arden! Check it out below:
The Jann Arden Incident – Upstaged
Friends in London there are tons of gigs coming up including Edinburgh previews soon, and more great line ups at the monthly Candy Bar night (Zoe Lyons headlining this Thursday) and friends in Canada I’ll see you soon at the HALIFAX COMEDY FESTIVAL! April 25th – 28th. I’ll be there drinking so much Tim Hortons you won’t even believe it.
